Susan Lyne
Co-founder & Managing Partner
Susan has held leadership positions at companies of all sizes and stages, from startups to public companies, media to eCommerce, Editor-in-Chief to CEO. Decades of learning and leading at Disney, ABC (where she greenlit shows like Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy), Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Gilt.com and AOL’s Brand Group reinforced a conviction that women are the key drivers of economic growth and cultural change -- and in 2014 she made the leap to launch BBG Ventures with Nisha. With four daughters, three sisters, and scores of smart women in her orbit, her biggest wins have come from listening to, building for and betting on women.
Nisha Dua
Co-founder & Managing Partner
Nisha's career path isn't entirely linear, but she's always ended up where she was meant to be. A former M&A lawyer, and management consultant at Bain, she joined Susan Lyne in 2013 to run strategy & operations for the AOL Brand Group. As her side hustle she opted to run AOL's millennial celebrity gossip site, indulging a passion for content & social. In 2015, she founded BUILT BY GIRLS, harnessing the power of software and the crowd to make professionals in tech accessible to girls all across the country - and along the way, finding inspiration for what would become BBG Ventures. Her other titles include karate black belt, favorite aunt, new mum and aspirational daily meditator.
Claire Biernacki
Partner
Claire is a Partner at BBG Ventures, where she focuses primarily on healthcare and vertical Al. She joined BBGV as the first investment team member in Fund I while completing her MBA at Columbia Business School. During her time at Columbia, Claire worked at Lerer Hippeau and gained operating experience at early-stage startups including Studs and Koio. She also served as Co-President of the Columbia Venture Club. Prior to business school, she was on the investment teams at Pomona Capital and Cult Capital, after starting her career in investment banking at Bank of America. A former ballet dancer, Claire traded in pointe shoes for running shoes—you can often find her running up the West Side Highway to the sweet sounds of country music.
Addison Marsh
VP, Finance & Operations
Addison joined BBG Ventures as our first VP, Finance & Operations after a two-decade career in similar roles, learning and working alongside the founding teams of General Catalyst, Thrive Capital, and Remus Capital. Addison’s soccer career took him to Babson College where he was not only captain of the soccer team twice but, most importantly, his eyes were opened to the world of innovation and entrepreneurship. When Addison is not traveling between Boston and Manhattan, he enjoys spending time in the mountains or on the coast of New England with his family, including his many nephews and nieces. Addison never says no to a round of golf and is thoroughly convinced that if he truly works hard enough on the golf course, the PGA Tour is within his reach.

Daniella Ortiz
Operations Associate
While Daniella’s career has taken a few unexpected turns, one thing has stayed constant: her drive to build what works and nurture relationships that matter. She’s worn many hats over nearly two decades: from supporting attorneys at top law firms, to leading operations at high-growth startups such as Ahalife & FlyCleaners, and supporting investment teams at Founder Collective. She’s the behind-the-scenes force keeping the wheels turning—and the people connected. Her other titles include proud mom of three (two biological, one bonus son), documentary enthusiast, true crime buff, and firm believer that the best memories are made with loved ones.
